Gratitude Changes The Game...Play To Win...

I am not suited for the role. The constant criticism has created lack of confidence and I feel it dipping every day.

I don’t like my boss even though I think he has done as much if not more for me to help me.

It’s hard to find time to interview with other companies. The constant stress and hatred towards what I do is affecting my personal relationship. I have been a horrible girlfriend constantly whining and complaining.

gratitude parent virtue

Being grateful changes the game.

You can’t be grateful and miserable at the same moment.

Just focus on being grateful for one thing. It’s a start.

When you focus on gratitude it is a fertile ground for more things to grow that you can be grateful for.

Free Your Mind. Have Courage. Walk Through The Door.

I cannot seem to even figure out what I have any passion for.

I have no energy nor can I concentrate to really think about what really makes me happy. I have no idea at this point.

I make it to the weekends drained and always seem to think about what is coming up the next day or the next week – some weeks are worse than others.

~Worker Living in MASSACHUSETTS

free your mind

Today, I will live my life EVEN THOUGH I am miserable on my job.

I will not live to just make it to the weekend.  I will find something to do to relieve the stress so that I can free my mind to figure out what I am passionate about.

Even if I just take a minute and deeply breathe, then that’s what I will do.

The more I can find what works for me to relieve the stress the closer I will get to being able to use every day to find my way out of this situation.

The Corporate Grind - A Powerful Force To Help You Decide To Pursue Your Purpose

I cannot seem to get the clarity and focus to even figure out what I am passionate about.

It seems to me I just may need to remove the stress, and tension that the corporate grind promotes before I can really move in the right direction.

decide to be

How close are you to completing Step 1 of the “Just Quit” Steps?

When you get to the point where you KNOW as hard as you have tried that you must remove the tension and stress of your job to move forward; you are close to making the decision to “Just Quit”.

The Corporate Grind is a powerful force.

Use that force to help you move forward.

You just have to decide that you are going to quit; you don’t have to quit today or tomorrow or next month; just make the decision today.

Where Are You On The Happiness Scale?

On a scale of 1-10, 1 being unhappy, 5 being neutral, and 10 being fully happy, I am consistently at a 4 or below in regards to my job. This means that not only am I not happy at my job, but I am actually unhappy.

I have made the decision that I need to remove things from my life that make me unhappy in order to find happiness.

If my job was neutral or better, I would stay. But I remain in the unhappy zone, so I have to leave.

happiness scale

Did you know there was a happiness scale…well today there is.

Today, where are you on the happiness scale of 1-10?  Where were you yesterday on that scale?  Where will you be one year from now if you stay in your current job?

Just questions…be honest with yourself.

Live Everyday...Not Just To Make It To The Weekend.

I cannot seem to even figure out what I have any passion for.

I have no energy, nor can I concentrate to really think about what really makes me happy.  I have no idea at this point.

I make it to the weekends drained and always seem to think about what is coming up the next day or the next week.

Find Some "Alone" Time. Work On Yourself Today.

I can’t take it anymore.

I feel like I’m the lone wolf that has to take care of everything.

There is never actually “alone” time. I’m always on call and constantly getting alerts and or emails or whatever it maybe. I am constantly awakened and miss out on my personal life because of work.

~Worker Living in MASSACHUSETTS

project

If today you are in a situation where you are SO important, always on call and have lost your life by giving all of your time to your job/corporation/boss then you need to ask yourself HOW LONG you are going to continue to make someone else’s dreams come true?

HOW LONG are you going to make someone ELSE rich while today you feel like you are missing out on your life?

HOW LONG?

It’s up to you. Remember, you have to be smart enough to figure this out.  You’re SO important.  You’re taking care of everything at work.  You’re a Lone Wolf. Great, now do something for yourself.

Feeling Stuck In The Corporate Maze? Work The Plan, Move Towards The Exit.

I hate my job and the corporate bulls**t.

~Worker Living in MASSACHUSETTS

You are reading from the book “Just Quit” & Live

exit the maze

If you are entangled in the maze and grip of a corporation please try to stop and FIRST be grateful.  Just be grateful that through this corporation you have a job. You have a salary. You have a place to go every day.

Yes, you are miserable.  Yes, you hate your job.  Yes, you’re sick of the “corporate bulls**t”, BUT you HAVE to find BALANCE in order to move forward. That means finding the “good” and the “bad” in this situation.

You know you will get out of this maze (eventually).  You know the Steps that you need to take to find your way out.  You just need to work those Steps and the exit to the maze will come.

Are You Stuck In A Dying Industry? Reinvent Yourself.

I have been stuck in an industry that has really gone down the drain in the last few years. I just left my last job for a new one in the same industry, and it’s even worse than the last one and the one before it. Even in higher-up positions in this industry, you still do a lot of really menial, pointless tasks, and there is no joy or fulfillment.

Me and my boss’s management styles are completely opposite, and I am tired of working for someone else and being under someone else’s boot. I know that I won’t be able to make a difference since what I am allowed to do is very limited by my boss’s very narrow vision.

This is also not my passion anymore, and I need to be passionate about my work to enjoy that part of my life. I can’t look for another job right now since I am constantly exhausted from my long commute and pointless days in the office.

I really don’t believe that I will end up in a better situation if I look for another job right now considering the state that I am in.

I need to quit and try out a few ideas for a new career that I have in mind for myself, and that takes time that I don’t currently have.

thomas edison

Today, take a look at the industry that you are in.  Is it growing or is it dying?  What has changed and what will probably be changing in the next 5-10 years in this industry?

If you don’t know the answers right off  then research the industry.   Be honest with yourself (even if it is a thriving industry) and ask if you want to continue in this industry.

Do you care about the industry?

Note:  If you have to research the industry you probably don’t care about it very much.  If you cared you’d already be well steeped in what is going on.  Just be honest with yourself about this one particular industry.

At The Center Of Your Being You Have The Answer

Lack of passion; Boredom; Repetition; Overwhelming tasks; No enthusiasm for system tasks; No great enthusiasm for co-workers; Expendable; Cog in machine feel; all wrong; not me.

you already know

What words or phrases would describe how you are feeling about your job today?

Pick up a pen or open a Word file and put down how you are feeling about your current job. Just start writing or typing the words or phrases. Don’t think about it very much, it will come naturally. Just let the words or phrases come through you.

Take a look at your words or phrases.  What does it all mean?

Don’t Let Your Job Take Away Your Joy – Do Something Today That YOU Enjoy Doing

You are reading from the book “Just Quit” & Live

Q: Why do you want to quit your job EVEN if you don’t have another job lined-up?

I’m not respected, this company isn’t my passion.

I don’t like marketing,

I just want to paint and create things.

~Worker Living in MASSACHUSETTS

24 hours

We might not feel like it, we might be drained and we might be depressed, but, we need to do something today that gives us joy.

Don’t let this job take away your joy.

Use your own time to do something today that you enjoy…even if it is only for one moment.

P.S. You can’t enjoy your life and complain about it at the same time…so if you can’t think of what you enjoy doing…STOP doing something (complaining) that is stealing your joy…just for 24 hours.

Is It The Boss and/or The Work?

You are reading from the book  “Just Quit” & Live

Q: Why do you want to quit your job EVEN if you don’t have another job lined-up?

Every day is a struggle. I cry and get anxiety thinking about coming in. I hate my boss and the work I do. It has all stress and no reward. I love working with people, but not in this way.

~Worker Living in MASSACHUSETTS

Work the plan

Today’s Meditation:

Sometimes it’s the boss.

Sometimes it’s the work itself.

If it’s the boss AND the work we need to do some real reflection. What is going on with me and the job? Is it working for my boss (that might change someday), or is it the work itself (I need a new profession or assignments), or is it both the Boss and the Job? Double-whammy.

I need to work my “Just Quit” Plan today. I need to do one of the Steps…I’ll pick one, just one.
